Day1 - Arrive Delhi
Welcome on arrival at Delhi international airport and transfer to hotel.
Day2 - Delhi
The tour includes the magnificent Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Asia's largest mosque, Humanyun Tomb, Birla Mandir, Qutab Minar, drive through India Gate, President’s House and Connaught Place. Evening, see Son-et-Lumerie at Red Fort (optional). Overnight at hotel.
Day3 - Delhi – Srinagar (by flight)
Breakfast at hotel. Take flight to Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar, you will be met by our representative and transferred you to the houseboat. Afternoon free for personal activities. In the evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset. Overnight at houseboat.
Day4 - Srinagar – Local sightseeing (50 Kms)
Half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch. In the afternoon Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Overnight at houseboat.
Day5 - Srinagar – Gulmarg – Srinagar (112 kms)
Full day tour of Gulmarg, Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. Overnight at houseboat.
Day6 - Srinagar – Sonmarg - Kargil (205 kms)
Leave in the morning and drive to Kargil and road passes through the panoramic village to reach Sonmarg (2740 mtrs) After Sonmarg the road is mostly rough and wet to Zojila pass 3527 mtrs (Gateway of Ladakh). Continue drive towards Drass (the second coldest inhibited place in the world) were we stop for tea and passport check. Another 2.5 hours drive will take us to Kargil (2710 mtrs) which has got its importance after opening of Ladakh for tourists in 1974. Overnight at hotel.
Day7 - Kargil – Leh (235 kms)
Today we ascend three passes. First Buddhist village will be Mulbek. We cross the highest pass (Fotula 4166 mtrs.) on Srinagar Leh route. At lunchtime we will be at Lamayuru oldest Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day8 - Leh
Morning free for personal activities and at leisure. Afternoon half day tour of Phyang, Spituk and Shanker Gompa. Overnight at hotel.
Day9 - Leh–Khardongla pass–Leh (85 kms)
Day excursion to Khardongla pass which is the highest motorable pass in the world 5600 mtrs and has been recorded in the Gunnies Book of World Records. At the top enjoy the nature beauty of snow capped mountains. In the late afternoon return back to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day10 - Leh – Delhi
Transfer in time to the airport to connect flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, transfer to the hotel for wash 'n' change and proceed to international airport for connecting flight to onward destination.
and Kashmir. The landscape are completely different from one each. You travel west to east staring at Srinagar, famous for its Dal Lake and shikara rides; moving to Gulmarg, for its beautiful scenery and then Sonmarg, the Meadow of Gold and Gateway to the Ladakh. Once in the ladakh region you drive through Drass, Kargil and arriving into Leh, the cold dry desert of India. You also drive to the Khardongla Pass (highest motorable pass in the world) for great views of the mountains.
